Overview

Chevrolet’s mid size family sedan, the Chevy Malibu, carries up to five passengers. Engine and performance

The 2020 Chevrolet Malibu is available with two engine options.

1.5 liter I-4 (inline 4) dual overhead camshaft (DOHC) variable valve timing (VVT) direct injection (DI) turbocharged, producing 163 hp at 5700 rpm and 250 Nm of torque at 3000 rpm, with CVT & are linked (continuously variable transmission).

A 2.0L I-4 DOHC VVT DI turbocharger develops 250 hp at 5300 rpm and 353 Nm at 5000 rpm, mated to a Hydra-Matic 9-speed automatic transmission that delivers an excellent driving experience. Both engines feature four valves per cylinder, DOHC and continuously VVT to optimize fuel economy and performance. Fuel delivery mechanism with high-pressure direct injection and electronic throttle control. Suspension and steering mechanism

With dual-path mountings in the front, finely calibrated coil springs, a direct-acting stabilizer bar (hollow), and hydraulic ride bushings, the MacPherson strut is able to provide superior stability.

A hollow stabilizer bar and four-link independent suspension in the rear take on all types of road conditions.

A Rack-mounted rack and pinion electric power-assisted steering mechanism are standard on all variants, making every drive pleasurable.

Safety Features and Drive Assistance

The passenger sensing program comes with 10 airbags including front, passenger and knee airbags, front and rear outboard positions, side-impact head curtain, roof rail and seat-mounted airbags. All versions are equipped with a rearview camera for seamless navigation in reverse mode. An HD rear camera is a standard feature on Premier models. The Driver Confidence Bundle, which includes Assistance for Rear Park, Lane Change Assist with Blind Zone Assist and Rear Cross Traffic Assist (Rear Cross Traffic Alert), is standard on the LT and LS models.
